Peanut Butter Bacon Chocolates: A half-ass recipe card by Lindsey

1 package of bacon
1 jar of creamy peanut butter
1 cake pan at least 2 inches deep
Cooking spray or shortening
What you need:
1 big bag of semi sweet chocolate morsels
1 package of bacon
1 jar of creamy peanut butter

- First bake, yes bake all your bacon. When you bite into the treat, crispy bacon is better then a chewy bacon in my opinion. Can't remember what temp we had it at, but whatever looks crispy. (The baking directions might even be on the package?)
- Lightly grease/spray the cake pan.
- After baking the bacon, pour 1/2 the bag of chocolate morsels into a microwave safe bowl. (Follow the melting instructions on the bag.) I mic mine at 10-15 second intervals at 50% power and stir each time til its a runny consistency. Be careful not to "burn" or overcook the chocolate. (Over melting the chocolate makes it thick, almost hard again) Pour a thin first layer of chocolate evenly into the greased cake pan.
- Evenly distribute the pieces of bacon across the first layer of chocolate.
- Melt 3 Tablespoons or so of the peanut butter in another microwave safe bowl the same way you did the chocolate, make sure its runny. Drizzle the melted peanut butter over the layer of bacon now. Don't overdue the peanut butter or that is all you will taste.
- Melt the other 1/2 of the chocolate now the same way as before. Pour an even thin layer over the other layers of stuff. We put ours in the fridge for 20 minutes then switched to the freezer for another 20 mins because we got tired of waiting for them to get hard. Cut the chocolates into squares and enjoy!
